以及在冰河上健行

進入管制區北極油田

這一切的"不平凡"

驅動了往北國發展 

要往北極圈

勢必行經惡名昭彰的Dalton Highway

有一些部落客是自駕前往

但在阿拉斯加租車

這一段是不給予保險

往來北極海的大型油罐車與物資車24小時不停歇

夏日泥濘

不時的陡坡

冬季裡除了要注意路上結冰打滑

更要注意突如其來的暴風雪狂風

當地人車上都備有專業的通訊器材

帶我們到北極海的 local guide - Joseph

我們一般轎車一來輪胎不夠厚實

二來車上沒無線電通訊器材

沒事是幸運

我們還是請專業的當地 local guides

玩得安全安心

否則就不叫"玩"

而是"完了!"

我們就在 1st Outdoor School 當地導遊 Joseph 的陪同下

由 Fairbanks 驅車北上

開啟北極海三日遊~ 

Arctic Ocean/ Prudhow Bay 3-Day Tour

 以下先簡述三日行程

DAY 1

w7:00am departure from Fairbanks.

wTrans-Alaska-Pipeline -Get a close up view of the famous pipeline and learn interesting facts about the engineering and building period.

wBreakfast at Hilltop, a rustic truck stop.

wCross the mighty Yukon River.

wArctic Circle – Have your picture taken at the Arctic Circle and receive your Arctic Circle Certificate.

wColdfoot – Visit the state-of-the-art visitor center at the famous halfway stop along the Dalton Highway.

DAY 2

wContinental breakfast.

wGates of the Arctic National Park – Astonishing peaks, great views and with a little luck you will spot grizzly bears and dall sheep.

wArctic Tundra – Experience the beautiful arctic and view musk ox and caribou in their natural habitat.

wDeadhorse – The supplying town for Prudhoe Bay. Information and safety presentation about the oil field.

wPrudhoe Bay Alaska - Visit the oil field and touch the edge of the mystic Alaska Arctic Ocean.

wDrive back through Arctic Tundra and Brooks Range in the late evening hours.

wOvernight in our accommodations in Wiseman.

DAY 3

wMorning hike through historic Wiseman and along the Koyukuk River.

wFinger Mountain – A short nature hike in a beautiful high plateau above the tree line.

wYukon River – Walk right to the edge of Alaska’s most famous river. It will impress you with its majesty and history.

wJoy Alaska, the Arctic Circle Trading Post.

w10:00pm arrival at your location in Fairbanks.
